Greetings, my name is Michael Robert Nicholas Weber (michael-ro-ni) and I am glad you found my webpage!

First and foremost, thank you for visiting. I host my recent work under the Home Page and previous work under Schoolwork Samples and Production Archive.

I am a journalism graduate with experience in multimedia news production and office administration. I produced news and features for The Lumberjack and Osprey Magazine at Humboldt State University (HSU), where I held the roles of photo editor and copy editor. At HSU I hosted a radio show broadcasted weekly on 105.1 KRFH, presented a research project on local news coverage of opioids, studied media law and ethics, and participated in the journalism club.

After graduation I interned for NorCal Small Business Development Center supporting directors, managers, and the advising team on administrative tasks. I managed our file archive in compliance for state audits, wrote marketing material, assisted in payroll and invoicing, and moderated webinars that provided financial resource information to small businesses during COVID-19.

My experience working in news production gave me a sense of gratitude and fulfillment. I am approachable and respectful to my interviewees, and my genuine curiosity allows others to feel safe sharing vulnerable information. I choose stories that highlight community issues and meritable individuals. In the field, I can photograph critical moments in fast-paced environments and achieve visual harmony. In the office, I report clearly to my supervisors on my work progress and keep a priority list of my tasks.

I strive to produce my best work, and try to be an attentive, responsive team member. I hope my work can touch the lives of everyday people for the better.
